GR Technologies, the parent company of Revenga Türkiye, (Revenga Ingenieros) received in their facilities the visit of a delegation from DLH AYGM Istanbul-Ankara, final customer of the works the company Siemens Rail Automation has been developing for in the Marmaray project “CR3 Gebze-Halkali Commuter Rail Upgrading: Civil & Electrical & Mechanical Systems”. Such railway line includes the 14 km tunnel crossing the Bosphorus channel, more than 60m deep under the sea. The demonstration was also attended by representatives of Avrasya, the consulting firm hired by the Turkish Government to ensure the proper execution of the works. The purpose of the visit was to perform validation tests in factory of the set of systems to be deployed by GR Technologies. Both team involved and the customer were happy to see the systems have exceeded the tests with full satisfaction.

As a result, GR Technologies moves forward with determination in one of the most complex railway projects in the world, linking the European and Asian sides of Istanbul, in which it is responsible for the engineering, design, supply, installation, commissioning and the state of condition detection solution of circulating trains, both passengers and freight. This solution means a worldwide innovation, to bring together in one place a large number of detection systems. In particular, the solution provided by GR Technologies includes, at each end of the line, the following inspection systems: hot box, flat wheel or vertical impact, dragged objects and gauge excess, as well as pantograph status and wheel profile. All systems will be able to operate at up to 100 km/h.

This is a project of great complexity in one of the most important and most challenging railway sections in the world, so having overcome this important testing stage demonstrates the capabilities of GR Technologies as well as the scope of its technologies.
